The North Rim Country Store is open for business every summer and closed each winter season. Exact dates are dependent upon the unpredictable Arizona weather and the road closures that occur each winter!
The store operates under a permit with the US Forest Service – North Kaibab Ranger District, Kaibab National Forest.
Our History
Nestled in the pine trees in the North Kaibab Ranger District, Kaibab National Forest, the North Rim Country Store has been in business since the early 1950’s. Starting originally as a small convenience store, gas station and auto garage, the store continues to sell grocery, camping and souvenir items in addition to diesel and gasoline for campers, hunters and visitors to the Grand Canyon National Park North Rim and surrounding Kaibab National Forest.
Being the only store of its kind between Jacob Lake and the Park, it is well known by the local hunters and campers who stop in to supplement their supplies and fill up their gas tanks while out in the beautiful surrounding forest. The store also has an ATM and a propane filling station in addition to tire repair.
